Amazon Pinpoint to Amazon Connect Migration

Customer engagement systems at scale depend on tightly connected campaigns, journeys, templates, and endpoints. These dependencies are difficult to replicate manually and increase migration risk.

Amazon Pinpoint reaches end of support on October 30, 2026. Teams that manage millions of endpoints across campaigns and journeys face a complex transition to Amazon Connect and must protect a customer experience built and refined over years.

The Pronetx Migration Tool for Amazon Pinpoint was built in collaboration with AWS to support this transition. It enables teams to migrate Amazon Pinpoint engagement features to Amazon Connect proactive engagement, preserves operational continuity, and reduces risk to existing customer experiences.

The Hidden Cost of Manual Migration

Most teams choose a manual rebuild approach. Export everything, recreate it piece by piece, test until it works. The approach sounds reasonable until you look at what it costs.

Engineering bandwidth disappears into migration. Manual rebuilds pull senior engineers off product work for weeks. They reverse-engineer journey logic, map template placeholders, and debug edge cases in endpoint data. None of that effort delivers new value to customers.

Customer experience suffers during the transition. The longer the migration takes, the longer your customers experience missed messages, delayed campaigns, or broken workflows. For teams with millions of endpoints across multiple regions, manual migration introduces risk at every step.

Timeline risk compounds. Manual errors surface late — often too late to recover. A missed template dependency or a malformed endpoint attribute can stall the entire migration. With a hard deadline in October 2026, late surprises become project risks.

A Streamlined, AWS-Aligned Migration Approach

Migration Example: Eligible Pinpoint Journeys → Amazon Connect Multi-step Journeys

Automation turns migration from a manual rebuild into a controlled process. The Pronetx Migration Tool for Amazon Pinpoint is designed to handle the complexity that makes manual migration slow, risky, and error-prone.

Speed. Automated asset transfer reduces engineering effort from weeks to days. The tool handles campaigns, journeys, templates, and endpoints in a single execution.

Safety. Journeys migrate as all-or-nothing units to avoid partial execution in production. If a journey contains unsupported steps, the tool skips the entire journey and flags it for manual review, so broken campaigns never go live.

Clarity. Migration decisions are explicit before execution begins. The tool generates a deterministic plan that shows which assets migrate automatically, which raise warnings, and which require manual handling. Teams know what will move, what will not, and why before committing to execution.

How It Works

The tool runs locally in your AWS environment with your own credentials. Pronetx does not require access to your account. The migration follows four phases: preflight, setup, migrate, and report.

Read-only Scan performs a read-only analysis of your Pinpoint environment. It classifies each asset as eligible, eligible with warnings, or not eligible. Each classification includes a reason code and a remediation path. You see the full scope of your migration before any changes occur.

Express Setup provisions Amazon Connect infrastructure if needed or validates an existing instance. The tool checks credentials, permissions, quotas, and region compatibility. If validation fails, no migration actions execute.

Migrate transfers campaigns, journeys, templates, and endpoints to Amazon Connect in a single command. Large environments migrate reliably at multi-million endpoint scale, with pause and resume capabilities when needed. The tool preserves existing journey logic. Entry conditions, wait logic, conditional branches, and channel steps map directly to Amazon Connect multi-step journeys, so customer flows behave as expected after the move.

Report delivers clear output: what moved, what did not, and next steps. The tool flags complex journeys with detailed remediation guidance, so teams can prioritize manual work. The tool produces an audit bundle for compliance requirements and includes template version history.

Where You Might Be

“We’re 6 months from deadline and haven’t started”

Run a preflight scan to understand scope, resource needs, and timeline risks before you commit.

“We have 10M+ endpoints across 3 regions”

Manual migration breaks at scale. The tool handles 10M+ endpoints with partitioned processing and resumable execution.

“We already have Connect infrastructure”

Use your existing instance. The tool validates compatibility and migrates into your current setup.

“We don’t have Amazon Connect set up yet”

Enable Express Setup, and the tool provisions an Amazon Connect instance along with required infrastructure, including S3 storage, Kinesis data streams, and IAM roles — before migrating your Pinpoint assets.

What You Need to Decide

Before purchasing, run the free preflight scan. You’ll see

  • How many journeys migrate automatically versus require manual work
  • Whether your endpoint data structure is compatible
  • What IAM permissions and service quotas are required

The preflight scan is included with the tool on AWS Marketplace and requires no commitment to execute a migration.

Take the First Step

October 2026 is approaching. When migration is done well, it’s largely invisible to customers. That level of continuity depends on planning early, before timelines, scope, and dependencies become constraints.

Run a preflight scan today to understand your migration scope and reduce timeline risk before you commit.
